MEET HAMZA
A Muslim man entered the WIIT Arabic page searching for peace, love, and acceptance from people around him. His journey began with learning from us about the meaning of true love and what the Lord Jesus Christ did for us. After many long conversations with him about how many Muslims reject the idea of Christ as God and Savior, he wanted to be sure that we are real people, so we sent him to a direct meeting in a group through Facebook Messenger.
He was surprised to see how other fellow members greeted and welcomed him. He attended the meetings and felt the need to discover more about this source of love. He asked how he could own a Bible, and shortly after, he went and got one. Hamza had a fundamental problem; his community rejected him for loving a Jewish woman. Nonetheless, we welcomed him into our spiritual family and showed him that it didn’t matter to us what race she was, and when they got married, we prayed for them so the Lord would bless their marriage and care for all their needs.
A few days after his marriage, he invited his wife to a meeting to hear about the Lord Jesus. The Lord’s work was wonderful with them. She watched the meeting and cried, asking us to teach her how to pray. We prayed with them as she declared her faith in Jesus to the group and accepted Jesus as her Savior and God.
A week after this blessed day, the enemy started working against them, as his family persecuted him because he publicly declared his faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and so did his wife. His family stripped him of all his possessions and what he was entitled to. He was abandoned and left without shelter. Because his sadness was so great, he entered a sudden coma and was admitted to the hospital. The doctors could not help his case, so his wife turned to us, asking for help. We immediately gathered, prayed, and cried to the Lord Jesus to wipe his wife's tears and tell her as he told the widow of Nain, "Do not cry," and to touch Hamza's body and raise it as he did with Nain’s son. We were all united in our prayer as we raised our voices to the Lord.
The Lord did not delay his answer, and after half an hour of our prayers, Hamzah woke up and stood without any fatigue and in full strength. Sophia, his wife, cried in the hospital in front of everyone, glorifying the name of the Lord, and ever since that time, the family’s faith was strengthened, and they preached the gospel in Jesus’s name. Since then, Hamzah and Sophia have been happy with the Lord Jesus, and they attend meetings, read the Bible, and invite their friends without fear to get to know the true Savior.
